I would like to introduce myself to you. This is my 22th year of professional teaching. Within these twenty-two years, I have taught five years of fourth grade, ten years of first grade and six years of third grade. This is my first year as the Elementary Interventionist. I had the opportunity to complete a three week practicum in third grade in Bismarck before graduating with my degree in education, I also had the opportunity to student teach in Oslo, Norway. This was a wonderful experience that I will always remember.
I have lived in the Minot area for 25 years now. I grew up in Fargo, ND. I graduated from Fargo South High School. I attended Minnesota State University Moorhead to obtain my Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and Secondary Health. While subbing in the Fargo-Moorhead and the surrounding areas, I fell in love with elementary education. Thus, I went back for my elementary education before moving to Western North Dakota.
Here are some fun facts about me:
Favorite Food: Favorite Sport: Favorite Cartoon:
Fish, soups and salads Baseball, Cross country, Track Road Runner
Favorite Animal: Least Favorite Animal: Hobby:
Dogs Spiders Reading, hiking
My goal as a teacher is to transfer the love of learning to my students by giving them the tools they need to learn and explore the world around us. I'm looking forward to an amazing year!
I understand that you were and will continue to be your child's first teacher in life, even though he/she is now in elementary school. You will continue to be your child's most influential teacher. This is why it's so important for us to work together this year.
